"A conservatory can bring endless pleasure..."

If well chosen it will - create more living space, allow you to enjoy the changes of natural sunlight, give you a relaxing environment, enhance your home's exterior and interior, and at the same time increase the value of your property -it's often the most affordable way of getting extra room in your home too...
•  Finishing touches
Blinds
Why have blinds in your conservatory? They reduce the glare and high temperatures - vital if you have conservatory plants. It will also help prevent sunlight fading the carpets or furniture. Blinds allow you to control the amount of sunlight entering the conservatory. Having blinds will also give you greater privacy if you are overlooked, and finish off the look to your new stylish living space. There are plenty of designs available including pleated and roller blinds. Fabric, cane or fine Venetian blinds can be used for the windows and roof. There are also convenient remote control blind systems.
Fans
A stylish ceiling fan can help keep you cool during the summer months and act as a decorative centrepiece.
Conservatory furniture
Many people choose cane, wicker, rattan or iron furniture for their conservatory as they are hard-wearing and seem to suit the transitional space between inside and outside. Wicker seating is very comfortable, especially with padded cushions. Table choice will probably be determined by the shape of your conservatory - a rectangular room will suit a like shape, an octagonal room will be better with a round or square table.
Lighting
With good lighting the conservatory can be an excellent evening room - relaxing, romantic and an enjoyable extension to your living space. Subtle spotlighting and side lights can enhance your plants and provide reading light, or if it suits floor lighting could be an exciting option. Soft lighting works best as glass walls and ceilings act differently to solid walls. If you use candles in the evening be careful to move them during the heat of the day, as they are likely to bend or melt.
Flooring
The most popular choices are tiles or stone paving. Floor tiles are now available in every colour, texture and pattern - from terracotta to ceramic. Stone flooring includes limestone, slate and sandstone finishes. Treated laminate and wood flooring is also an option.
* Don't forget to inform your house insurance company about your new conservatory.
