The size and location of the conservatory is an important consideration. To really enjoy it you need to avoid being restricted for space, so try not to select too small a conservatory. |

| The conservatory should complement the house, not dominate it. A recommended ratio is 1 square metre of glazing to 4 square metres of floor space. Calculate the size of your conservatory from the internal floor space you require, rather than from the external measurements. |
