Lay the unit down on a flat surface and inspect it for damage. If there are any signs of sticking or corrosion, a touch of grease or a spray of WD40 can work wonders. Dont use too much though as it'll attract dust and also you also run the risk of it getting on your clothes when you go in and out the door.
